The 4th ODA Conference and Workshop |

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade cohosted the 4th Seoul ODA International Conference from Nov. 29 to Dec. 1 at the JW Mariott Hotel under the title Catalyzing Development: A New Vision for Aid. In this year's conference, the changing environment and issues that challenge the international ODA community were intensively discussed. The conference broadly covered issues such as the expanding scale of aid, settlement of regional cooperation system, transparency in aid process, and the need for the development of aid evaluation system. At the workshop for Global Aid System which was held behind doors right after the conference, 160 participants from international institutions, NGOs and development experts from private sector discussed practical programs for building up global development partnership. Consecutive sessions of conference and workshop contributes to expanding general understanding of development assistance and also prepares agendas for the fourth High Level Forum for Aid Effectiveness which will be held at Busan on November this year. |
